Donations to Our Lady of Sorrows School may be made in the form of cash (check, wire transfer) or securities. Contributions will be used for all Our Lady of Sorrows School operating expenses unless specially restricted. Contributions to Our Lady of Sorrows School are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Laptop Computers: 25 at $700 ea.
Our Lady of Sorrows School is in urgent need of updating our technology resources. Laptops allow us to be "portable," as well as economical, enabling us to move laptops to individual classrooms on an as-needed basis.

Laser Color Printers: 2 @ $400 ea.
As part of our technology resources update, laser printers will allow our students to publish reports, charts, graphs, and literary writing in color.

Advanced Cordless Microscopes: 10 @ $250 ea.
Beginning with the 2009-2010 school year, Our Lady of Sorrows students will add the Grade 8 New York State Science Exam to our standardized testing program. Preparing for this exam is a school-wide initiative. Advanced Cordless Microscopes will allow our students to conduct research through hands-on investigations and scientific inquiry.

Two-Pan Balance: 10 @ $250 ea.
Measurement is an integral part of data collection. Two-Pan Balances enable student scientists to explore standards-based scientific inquiry in preparation for our New York State standardized testing program.

Science Tables - 30" X 60": 10 @ $350 ea.
Scientists need table space with non-reactive surfaces to carry out hands-on scientific inquiry. Science tables will allow us to create a dedicated space for our student scientists.

Open-Front Student Desks & 2-Piece Desk Chairs: 100 @ $115
Our classroom desks are in desperate need of updating. Standards-based learning requires students to work cooperatively with one another. New desks will allow new configurations in classroom seating, replacing the row.
